Kelly, Lage, and my excellent adventure

After school today Kelly came to me with a problem. It turned out that she could not find her keys, and was afraid that she had locked them in her car. We walked out to her car only to find that she was telling the truth, her keys really were in there. They were ogling us from the passenger seat, as to say “Haha! You can’t reach me!” At least the window was cracked.

First attempt: Kelly tries to stick her hand through the cracked window. The window isn’t open far enough, and this fails.

We decide that this problem MUST be taken care of, and we go to my jeepjeep and find anything that could possibly help us open a locked car door. Kelly and I ended up with my ice scraper, a tennis racket, and a hanger.

Second attempt: Stuck the ice scraper through the window crack, absolutely does not work
Third attempt: Tennis racket. Needless to say, this doesn’t even come close to being the right idea.
Fourth attempt: The hanger. It looked promising, but by the time we got it stuck through the window, it didn’t really work out as well as we’d hoped.

A new strategy is necessary. The only plan we can devise is to find something really long and something magnetic to put on the end of the long thing. After failing to find people who’d have magnets we settle for Greg Lage and his pool queue.

Fifth attempt: Duct tape on the end of the pool queue in an attempt to stick the keys to it. This is unsuccessful.
Sixth attempt: Lage tries to get the pool queue to stick through the key ring and lift it up. This doesn’t work; in fact, he ends up throwing the keys onto the floor of the car, and fucking things up even more.
Seventh attempt: The pool queue is put through the crack in the window and maneuvered in such a way that it could pry open the handle of the door of the passenger side. Lage got it open just far enough that I could pull up on the handle from the outside. Victory is ours.

HOORAY! We were so victorious.
